Welcome to Economics!
Hello and Welcome to Econ!
The purpose of this class is to prepare you for a fundamental understanding of both Microeconomics (your personal, individual decision making that may impact your financial well-being) as well as Macroeconomics (how the US and World economies function). Therefore, it can be helpful for both your personal financial literacy, as well as understanding the world around you to become a more informed citizen.
I am looking forward to our time together and hope you enjoy this course. Here are a few key things to know to be successful! -Mr. Thrower
Top 5 Tips
1.) Weighted Grades:
Examine the weights in your graded assessments. It's important to know what will greatly impact your grade as a summative assessment (tests, portfolios, quizzes) and what is meant to be formative (quick checks, sample work, practice).
2.) Support:
If you need help in the class, I prefer to help students over the phone or in LiveLesson. Book appointments if needed.
For simpler questions, a webmail or text message would also work.
My Google Voice: 810-428-4629.
3.) Live Lessons:
I will be having Live Lesson Hours on Wednesdays from 11:30AM - 12:00 PM. That’s a great time to get support. We will usually work on a portfolio or essential content.
4.) All lessons, activities, and assessments are due by the last day of class -Quarter 2 ends January 19th.
5.) Easter Eggs - Can you find them all?
